A two-way zip opened and closed on a finished garment. Slider feel, tape tension and how the knit sits either side of the teeth are the things a photograph cannot show.

Consider practical factors before sampling. The right capability choice affects texture, cost, handfeel, timeline and market fit.
Select weight and warmth for your target season.
Match texture, drape and premium handfeel.
Plan sweaters, cardigans, polos or jackets.
Align with buyer preference and price point.
Custom buttons, zippers, drawcords, patches and tipping sourced and applied to your spec — the fiddly hardware requests other factories decline, we quote and make.
Buttons: corozo, metal (engraved logo option), horn / faux-horn, resin and shell, colour-matched to the yarn. Zippers & closures: YKK and metal/coil zips with branded or custom pulls, antique/gunmetal finishes, toggles and cord-stops. Other trims: drawcords with custom tips, suede or knit elbow patches, contrast tipping on collars/cuffs/plackets, and custom rib trims (stripe or colour). Trims are sourced to your spec or supplied by you (nominated supplier), then attached during linking/finishing.
Trims carry their own compliance exposure, which is why they are specified and tested separately from the knit. Metal components in prolonged contact with skin — zip pulls, sliders, rivets, metal buttons — are controlled for nickel release under REACH Annex XVII entry 27, tested to EN 1811 (with EN 12472 simulating wear and corrosion on coated items), so a decorative finish does not exempt a component. Azo colourants that can release restricted aromatic amines are controlled under REACH Annex XVII entry 43, which applies to dyed cords, tapes and woven labels as much as to yarn. For children's programmes the additional constraints are CPSIA lead and phthalate limits and the small-parts and mechanical-hazard requirements under 16 CFR 1501, which is what governs whether a button or toggle can be used at all on a given age grade. Accessories can be brought inside an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified article rather than sitting outside it, provided the trim supplier holds the corresponding certificate. Nominated branded hardware such as YKK is sourced to your spec, and pull-off strength on buttons and attached trims is checked against the knit's stretch before bulk.
Suitable for cardigans, zip-up knit jackets and bombers, quarter/half-zip pullovers, knit polos and hooded knits where buttons, zippers and trims define the look.
Recommended for North America and Europe brands that need branded, retail-ready hardware and trims with verifiable quality.
Share a reference photo, sample or tech pack with the trim spec (material, size, finish, logo). Nominated/branded hardware (e.g. YKK, custom-engraved buttons) may carry its own minimums and add a few days to sourcing — factor it into the sample timeline. Trims are checked against knit texture and garment stretch before bulk.
Order of operations that prevents a late failure: agree the trim spec (material, size, finish, logo) with a reference photo, sample or tech pack; confirm whether the item is nominated or open-sourced, since branded hardware carries its own minimums and adds days to the sample timeline; request the trim supplier's EN 1811 nickel-release and REACH Annex XVII declarations at the same time as the price, not after approval; and for children's styles confirm CPSIA and 16 CFR 1501 suitability before the button is designed in. Trims are checked against knit texture and garment stretch, and attachment strength is verified, before bulk.
