Climate & Season
Select weight and warmth for your target season.
Most of what we make starts as your tech pack. These 51 styles started as ours. They are ready samples - knitted, photographed and costed already - so a physical sample can usually be with you in about seven days rather than the fifteen to twenty-five a new development needs from a confirmed tech pack and yarn. The minimum does not change: 30 pieces per colour per style, sizes mixable inside the 30. Neither does the customisation: colour, yarn, gauge, labelling and packaging are all still open, because a ready sample is a starting point rather than a take-it-or-leave-it. What it removes is the slowest part of a first order, which is the round trip between a drawing and the first thing you can hold.

The 51 styles span USD 6.50 to USD 66.00 per piece by quantity. Gauge spread: 34 at 12GG fine, 14 in the 7GG band and 3 at 3GG-5GG, which is why the group reads as a spring-summer range with a winter tail rather than the other way round - 20 are Spring/Summer, 17 all-season and 14 Autumn/Winter. By wearer: 31 men's, 13 women's, 5 kids' and 2 unisex. Fibre: cotton on 28 styles and mercerised cotton specifically on 15, wool on 14, cashmere on 6, and single styles in mohair, lyocell and linen. Every one can be re-coloured, re-yarned or re-gauged; a change of gauge or fibre moves it back into a normal development timeline, while a change of colour or labelling does not. Sampling is about 7 days as-is, about 15-25 days from a confirmed tech pack and yarn if the style is modified; bulk is 30-45 days depending on quantity.
Suitable where the calendar is the binding constraint rather than the design: a first drop that has to be on sale this season, a capsule added to an existing range, a replenishment colour, a trade-show sample that has to exist before the show, or a buyer who wants to hold the fabric before committing to a development. Also suitable as a reference garment - ordering one ready sample and marking it up is a faster, cheaper brief than writing a tech pack from nothing, and it removes most of the ambiguity that causes a second sample round. Product types in the group include short-sleeve knit tops and polos, crew and V-neck sweaters, full-zip and button cardigans, turtlenecks, knit vests, a knit jacket, scarves, a knit dress and a two-piece set.
Recommended for North America, the Nordics, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and the wider EU. The spring-summer weight of this particular group - 34 of 51 styles at 12GG fine, most of them mercerised cotton short-sleeve tops and polos - suits buyers working a spring delivery on a short lead time. Nordic and Canadian buyers more often pull from the heavier tail: the 3GG chunky scarf, the cable cardigan and the jacquard turtlenecks. All prices quoted are FOB indications by quantity, not landed cost; duty and freight depend on your Incoterm and route.
Two honest limits. First, a ready sample is a sample of a style, not of your colourway - if you change the colour, the first piece you see in your colour is still a normal sampling round, though it starts from a proven programme rather than from a drawing. Second, these styles were developed to our own specification, so measurements are ours until you change them; if you have an existing size chart, send it with the enquiry and we will grade to it rather than asking you to work around ours. Minimum order is 30 pieces per colour per style throughout, and the constraint that bites is colour count rather than piece count, because every colour carries its own minimum and its own dye lot.
