What a Nordic buyer can put in a file. Licheng produces to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, ISO 9001, GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) with chain-of-custody documentation, and holds GOTS certification for organic cotton. Those last two matter specifically here: the Nordic Swan Ecolabel requires cotton to be 100% organic or recycled and synthetics to be recycled or bio-based, so GOTS and GRS are the two certificates that answer that threshold directly. We are registered under the German Packaging Act (Verpackungsgesetz) via LUCID, registration DE4680505763138, and have an appointed EU Authorized Representative under the GPSR, Regulation (EU) 2023/988, so packaging EPR and product-safety responsibility are documented before goods reach the EU/EEA market.
For Norway specifically, we prepare the commercial documentation a Tolletaten declaration needs: HS 6110 subheading by actual fibre composition, declared customs value, certificate of origin, and a packing list matched to the carton marks. We do not act as your importer of record - that stays with you or your forwarder - but the paperwork arrives complete rather than needing a second round.
Technically: gauge 3GG-18GG, yarn counts in Nm or Ne, pilling to ISO 12945-2 (Martindale), dimensional stability after ISO 6330 washing, final inspection at AQL 2.5 under ISO 2859-1, metal detection before packing. MOQ 30 pcs per colour per style, sampling 15-25 days from confirmed tech pack and yarn, bulk 30-45 days, grading XS-3XL to your measurement sheet.
Common preferences include heavy gauge structure, warm touch, restrained Nordic pattern work, stable measurements, durable rib recovery and clean private label finishing.
Artwork, color count, yarn thickness and delivery month should be confirmed early. Heavy gauge and jacquard products may need more sample review time than simple fine-gauge sweaters.
Heavy gauge sweaters, Nordic jacquard pullovers, ribbed cardigans, warm mock necks and knit jackets.
Wool blends, acrylic wool blends, textured yarns and 3GG, 5GG or 7GG structures for warm hand feel and visible texture.

Yes. We have an appointed EU Authorized Representative under the GPSR, German packaging EPR registration via LUCID (DE4680505763138), and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GRS, GOTS and ISO 9001 processes — so product-safety responsibility and packaging EPR are covered before goods are placed on the EU market.
Yes. Since the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) applied on 13 December 2024, products sold to EU consumers — including knitwear — need an EU-based Responsible Person whose contact appears on the product, packaging and online listing. We have one appointed, so the obligation does not fall back on you as the importer.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 (harmful-substance testing), GRS scope and transaction certificates for recycled-content claims, REACH/SVHC test reports, and accurate EU fibre-composition labelling — all available for buyer review.
We focus on men's sweaters, cardigans, knit jackets, jacquard knitwear and private label knitwear. We support B2B buyers with OEM/ODM development, sampling and bulk production planning.
Ready sample styles and selected custom programs can support lower-risk trials before larger seasonal orders.
Yes. Brands, including new labels preparing a first collection, can pay for a sample and see it before placing a production order. Two routes: a ready sample of a published style at USD 60 per piece in about 7 days, or a development sample from your tech pack at USD 150 per style, covering yarn sourcing, knit programming, one prototype and one revision round, in 15-25 days. Cashmere and mohair styles are quoted individually and shipping is charged at cost. Production starts only after you approve the physical sample, at our minimum of 30 pieces per colour with sizes mixed inside the 30. A sample does not commit you to a production run; we do not make garments for personal use.
