A practical sweater tech pack guide for buyers preparing measurements, yarn, gauge, trims, labels and packaging requirements.
A practical sweater tech pack guide for buyers preparing measurements, yarn, gauge, trims, labels and packaging requirements. This guide walks you through the manufacturing journey with Licheng Knitwear.
A sweater tech pack helps the factory understand exactly what the buyer wants to develop. It reduces guessing, shortens sampling communication and improves quotation accuracy. Even a simple tech pack is better than relying only on a reference photo.
The tech pack should include front, back and detail views. Notes should explain neckline, sleeve shape, hem, rib, placket, pocket, stitch structure and special details. If a reference photo is used, mark what should be kept and what should be changed.
A size chart should include base size measurements and grading rules when available. For knitwear, chest, body length, sleeve length, shoulder, cuff, hem and neck opening are important. Buyers should also provide fit comments if the style is oversized, regular or slim.
The tech pack should include target yarn composition, gauge and color references if known. If these details are not confirmed, the buyer can provide target hand feel, weight, season and price direction so the factory can recommend options.
Buttons, zippers, embroidery, jacquard artwork, woven labels, care labels, hangtags and packaging should be included when available. These details affect sample lead time, quotation and final production preparation.
A clear development flow keeps samples, costing and bulk production aligned before your order moves forward.
