Your estimate
Estimates from real factory benchmarks for guidance only — not a binding quote. Send the spec and we'll confirm exact MOQ, price and timeline, usually within one business day.
These numbers come from how a real custom knitwear order actually runs — not analyst estimates. MOQ is set by your colour approach (stock vs custom-dyed) and whether the style needs special setup (jacquard, embroidery). Lead time is the sampling window plus bulk, with deltas for dyeing and special processes. Cost is driven mostly by your yarn: fibre is 40–60% of FOB, so it moves the price more than labour. For an exact, binding FOB quote on your spec, request a quote — or read the full cost-factors guide and MOQ guide.
The MOQ and lead-time outputs use our real factory benchmarks (MOQ from 30 pcs/colour, samples 15–25 days, bulk 30–45 days). Cost is shown as a relative driver rather than a price, because exact FOB pricing depends on the final yarn, construction and order size — request a quote and we confirm it, usually within one business day.
About 30 pieces per colour/style on a stock/available yarn colour, 50–100 for a custom-dyed colour (the dye-lot minimum), and 100–300+ for jacquard or special-process styles that need machine setup. MOQ is per colour, not your total order.
A development sample runs 15–25 days and bulk production 30–45 days. Custom dyeing adds lab dips at the sample stage; same-colour reorders are faster (~30 days).
On a sweater, yarn is typically 40–60% of the FOB cost — the dominant lever. Moving from acrylic or cotton up to merino, cashmere blends or pure cashmere changes your price far more than labour does. Finer gauge and special processes add to cost too.
Yes — from 30 pcs per colour on stock yarn. If your quantity is below the typical MOQ for a custom-dyed or special-process style, ask us about small test runs or stock-yarn colours.
